Modern Social Association (MSA):

Modern Social Association (MSA) is a non-governmental, voluntary, and non-profit association established officially in 2016. We provide services in Health, Education, Nutrition, CP, and WASH to the community. We believe that building the capacity of young generations will contribute to community development across all targeted fields of work. Therefore, we are working through applying a scientific approach in the field and establish a training and research environment at local level.

 

Job Purpose:

The media officer is responsible for preparing and implementing the project’s media strategies and plans. Its responsibilities include preparing and disseminating information materials for the project, organizing and implementing media events and activities for the project, and building and managing relations with local and international media.

 

Responsibilities and duties:

  1. Preparing and implementing communication and public relations strategies for the project.
  2. Preparing a strategic plan for communication and public relations for the project.
  3. Implementing the strategic plan for communication and public relations for the project.
  4. Evaluate the effectiveness of the project’s communication and public relations strategy.
  5. Preparing and publishing media materials for the project.
  6. Preparing news releases, reports and other information materials for the project.
  7. Dissemination of the project’s information materials on social media and traditional media.
  8. Analyzing the results of publishing the project’s media materials.
  9. Organizing and implementing media events and activities for the project:
  10. Organizing conferences, seminars and media meetings for the project.
  11. Implementing media campaigns for the project.
  12. Evaluating the effectiveness of the project’s media events and activities.
  13. Building and managing relationships with local and international media:
  14. Building relationships with local and international media.
  15. Communicate with local and international media to disseminate news and activities of the project.
  16. Representing the project before local and international media.

 

Qualification Experience and Skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree in media or a related field
  2. Minimum of three years of experience in the field of media and public relations.
  3. At least 3 years of experience working on supervisory roles preferably with INGOs or NGO.
  4. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  5. He/she has the artistic sense to evaluate expressive, important and quality photographs.
  6. The ability to formulate success stories professionally and follow the process of documenting them.
  7. The ability to write press news and articles professionally.
  8. The ability to use most social networking sites.
  9. The ability to use media design and editing programs.
  10. High computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google sheets, Email. Outlook)
  11. The ability to use (ERPnext) system.
  12. Effective communication skills.
  13. Working with the team.
  14. Work under pressure.

 

Working conditions:

Due to the nature of activities and areas where MSA operates, you might have to work below normal/difficult working/travel/accommodation conditions. The jobholder is required to be able to work out of office location, and for extended periods.
